Surrender to the magic of primitive cliffs, picturesque beaches and rolling waves. Here you will discover Spain’s most beautiful coast: the “Costa de Vizcaya”

First you’ll climb to the chapel “San Juan de Gaztelugatxe” which thrones on a peninsula around 100 meters above sea level and is supposed to fulfil miraculous wonders: if a visitor rings the chapel bell three times a wish will come true. Or bad nightmares can be chased away...

Next you’ll visit the traditional whale catching village “Bermeo” and then “Mundaka” – where the world surf championships are held.
This picturesque bathing resort lies in the biosphere reservation “Urdaibai”. The aim of this UNESCO program is the sustainable use of nature and to ensure its further existence.

Refresh yourself in one of the most exclusive seaside resorts of the world. There where the Spanish kings used to spend their summers: in San Sebastian.

The first stop of the day is the local mountain “Monte Igueldo”. From here you have views overlooking the entire city in all its splendour and glory and can take some enviable holiday pictures. Then a stroll down the promenade along the “Playa de la Concha”, followed by a visit to the aquarium in the fishermen's harbour - with a large variety of species - are on the program.

After that the harbour fortress “Monte Urgull” awaits a visit. Truculently standing on a peninsula in front of the “Oyster-Bay” (La Concha) and crowned with a monumental white statue of Christ.
After that it’s time to enjoy and surrender to the Basque and Spanish cuisine in one of the many Tapas-Bars in the charming and quaint old part of town. And to marvel at the fancy plazas, buildings and historic sites.

Experience a city in motion yet deeply rooted in medieval times: Vitoria – the capital of the Basque country.
Your day starts in the heart of the old part of town – the “Casco viejo”. Evidences of knightly traditions await you here: an imposing castle mountain, old monasteries, narrow alleys and numerous monuments. And a gothic cathedral which you will visit and be able to get to know better.
Vitoria's lively pedestrian area full of original eyecatchers will quickly bring you back to the present from your trip to the past. After that you can sit back and relax under one of the trees in the time-honoured city park and watch the colourful hustle and bustle of the market people.

Leaving the city you will be greeted by a charming landscape full of enormous reservoirs, vertical cliffs and dense forests. The legendary and mystical natural park “Urkiola” will enchant you. Eagles circle in solitary heights, high overlooking points enable magnificent views into the mountains and on the horizon the faint idea of the ocean starts to shimmer.

Enjoy the beautiful views of an imposing mountain massive, picturesque bays and idyllic harbour villages – discover Cantabria.
Your first stop is the museum of “Altamira”. Here you can visit prehistoric dwellings with world wide unique findings and a complete reconstruction of the caves.

After a stroll through the entirely conserved medieval town “Santillana de Mar”, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, let yourself be enchanted by “Santander”, the capital city of the region. Beautifully set on a long-stretching peninsula lies the pulsing city centre before you: the former royal summer residence “Santa Magdalena Castle” and the wonderful parks along the beach with palm trees and views of snow capped mountains in the distance.

On the way back there will be a stop in “Castro Urdiales”, a jewel reaching from ancient dwellings to modern days: a massive Cathedral, narrow and lively alleys with numerous bars and little shops and a wide open bay with beaches and a beautiful promenade.

Explore the soul of the Basque country and its people – Guernica.

The holy oak and the historic parliament building are only two of the many stops during the city tour that will engage you in the fascinating history of the 15.000 inhabitant city. Learn everything about the ancient roots and the horror of the Spanish civil war which Picasso portrayed in his world famous painting “Guernica”.

The second stop of the day is “Santamamiñe”, where you can visit prehistoric caves; then on to “Lekeitio”, an enchanting little fishermen's village on the coast. At low tide you can stroll over the dam to a small island and admire from there the village and the beautiful bay. But don’t worry: before the tide comes back and over floods the dam you’ll be back on solid ground with dry feet!

Let yourself be fascinated and inspired by the melange of modern art and bold architecture: experience Bilbao, the metropolis of the Basque country.

Getting to know the city you will begin with a part of town called “Portugalete” with the world’s oldest transporter bridge, the “Puente Colgante”. It was constructed by one of Gustave Eiffel's students. While crossing the bridge you can enjoy the far views over the harbour of Bilbao.

The highly modern metro will then bring you to the historic part of town called “Siete Calles”, to Europe’s biggest market hall and to the world famous Guggenheim museum. After all this sightseeing you can strengthen yourself in one of the most original Tapas-Bars of the city while admiring the beautiful tile motifs on the walls. At the end you have time to stroll the fancy Boulevard Grand Via.
